This mural is a collaboration between Michael Rice and Distort, an artist based out of Jersey City, NJ. They arrived onsite with no composition and freestyled the wall together from start to finish.

Painted over the course of one week, they incorporated stories and feedback from local residents as well as friends familiar with the area – organically adding to the wall until they felt it embodied the spirit of the local culture and community. The wall features fabled historical figures from the area including Harriet Beecher Stowe, Carrie Saxon Perry, and Victor Manuel Gerena.
